This was a very special experience for me. I recently watched Dolphin Tales 1 & 2. I fell in love with the first movie and then found out there was a number 2. I was so excited! I cried and cried like a baby. It was a very sad movie as Winter was rescued by Sawyer the boy that didn't have any friends until he met Winter they have a special bond that no one could ever come between.
I was invited to the Clear Water Marine Aquarium where Winter and Hope the dolphin's live. From the movie's Dolphin Tale & Dolphin Tale 2. They are special friends and both rescued. Winters have touched the heart of many people, many of whom are special just like her. It was a heart warming experiences.
You get to take a trolley to downtown Clear Water where there is Winter's Dolphin Tale Adventure full of props and information about the movie. Then you can see Winter's prosthetic tale. Then after you are done exploring you get to take a boat ride on the Ocean back to the Clear Water Marine Aquarium where on the ride you can have to chance to see Dolphin's.

A visit to Clearwater Marine Aquarium is a must-do for the whole family. This is not your typical aquarium. Our marine life rescue center is home to Winter the dolphin, star and inspiration of the hit movies Dolphin Tale and Dolphin Tale 2, both filmed on location. Come be inspired and educated by our ongoing work of rescue, rehabilitation and release.

Clearwater Marine Aquarium provides the highest standards of healthcare and rehabilitation with the ultimate objective of release. Not all animals, however, can be released. Their injuries may be too severe and may limit their ability to function and survive in the wild. National Marine Fisheries Service consults with CMA to determine if a cetacean can be released or must be provided long term resident care. Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission regulates the North American river otters and sea turtles.
About the movie.
While swimming free in the ocean, a young dolphin gets caught in a trap and severely damages her tail. Though she is rescued and transported to Clearwater Marine Hospital, her tail cannot be saved, and the prognosis is dire. What the dolphin, now named Winter, needs is a miracle. She gets that miracle in the form of a marine biologist (Harry Connick Jr.), a prosthetics designer (Morgan Freeman), and a devoted boy (Nathan Gamble), who find a way to help Winter swim again.
Dolphin Tale's 2:
Several years have passed since Sawyer Nelson (Nathan Gamble) and the team at Clearwater Marine Hospital gave Winter the dolphin a prosthetic tail, thereby saving her life. Now however, a new crisis has arisen. Winter's elderly surrogate mother, Panama, has died, which leaves Winter without a pool mate. According to USDA regulations, dolphins cannot be housed alone; unless a new companion can be found quickly, Clearwater will lose Winter to another aquarium.
